Vanessa E. Savas, President

Vanessa Savas, a 1991 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, is a retired Air Force Colonel with over 29 years of Department of Defense experience.  Her military service includes a wide spectrum of responsibilities, beginning as an Air Force pilot flying C-5 Galaxy and T-1 Jayhawk aircraft, and culminating as a Congressional and Government Relations expert for the Office of the Secretary of Defense.  

For 12 years, Vanessa  advised and worked hand-in-hand with many of the most senior officials in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the U.S. Southern Command, and the U.S. Air Force to successfully obtain the Department's annual congressional authorizations and appropriations.  Her extensive knowledge and relationships within the Executive and Legislative branches of government, coupled with her strategic insights, tenacity, and reputation of integrity, have led to her success within this complicated arena.

Outside of her Air Force career, Vanessa has worked as a Customer Support Senior Engineer for Bombardier Aerospace-Learjet,  the Lead Beechjet Instructor Pilot and Flight Examiner at CAE SimuFlite, and a Commercial Airline Pilot for various airlines.  Vanessa holds a Master of Philosophy in Military Strategy from the Air Force School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (SAASS), and a Master of Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, sailing and boating, tennis, photography, and art.
